Our Adopt-a-Staffer program is a great opportunity for you to support our staff in their service during the summer months. Every year, we have around 30 college students join us to minister to campers.Our staff work long hours and are away from their friends and family for many weeks This is a great physical, emotional, and spiritual drain on them. Our goal with the Adopt-a-Staffer program is for you to come alongside these staffers and support them through prayer and encouragement. We ask our adopters to commit to consistently lifting up their assigned staff member in prayer. In addition, we love for our adopters to send notes of encouragement and/or care packages to their staffer. If you feel led to participate in this opportunity, you will be given the name of one or more staff members, their info sheet, and a picture of them so that you can know more about them. This is a great ministry project for families to do together!
With an endless list of projects we can always use an extra hand or two! We accept volunteers during our off season (August - May) to help with building and maintenance projects, cleaning and organizing. Any individuals or groups interested in volunteering, please contact Jenna or Tracy and we will get you plugged in!
Camp WOW is a not-for-profit ministry, often times relying on donations to fund our activities. If you feel lead to donate, your contributions will help support the cost of putting on camps, pay for the employment of summer staff, and help offset the costs of our Community Camp where local students are able to attend at a discounted rate. All contributions are tax-deductible and can be made through our online store. We see about 6,000 students every summer, not to mention our off season activities such as retreats and conferences. It takes a lot of supplies to operate
throughout the year. If you would like to support our work by donating some of these items, it would be a great help to us. Below is a list of supplies that we are in need of. Donations can be sent to Camp WOW, Attn: Donation, 8256 Diagonal 1500 Rd., Stuart, OK 74570.
FURNITURE
Chairs, tables, desks, floor mats (indoor/outdoor), trash cans, rocking chairs, picnic tables, etc.
OFFICE SUPPLIES
Paper, pens, computer supplies, office equipment, Sharpies, folders, envelopes, printer supplies, etc.
MISCELLANEOUS
Batteries (all sizes but mostly "AA", "AAA" and 9 volt C and D.) duct tape, scotch tape, etc.
JANITORIAL
Cleaning supplies - dust mops, brooms, dustpans, mop buckets, mops, bathroom cleaners, floor cleaners, glass cleaner, etc.
LODGE
Sheets, comforters, pillows, (all sizes) towels, wash clothes, etc.
TECHNOLOGY
Sound equipment, video equipment, microphones,
mic stands, etc.
KITCHEN
MEDICAL
Dish rags, dish detergent, laundry soap, bleach, first aid kits, cleaning supplies, scrub/SOS pads, dish scrub brushes, etc.
Bandages, antibiotic, wraps, braces, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, gauze, crutches, medical gloves, etc.
MAINTENANCE
Lawnmowers, weedeaters, tools, weed-killer, insect-repellant, garden hoses, etc.
EQUIPMENT
Golf carts, Gators/Mules, trailers, parts, etc.
